Engage him on his terms l2r, don't just rephrase your last post. It's pissing me off now.
>>By Flagg
Hate to disappoint you both, Iran stopping their nuclear program in 2003 is only part of the story, what happened AFTER they stopped is unknown, the investigating team could not find out.
>>By Lynn
Good point.....but....an impartial investigation is needed. Keep in mind that Iran is unlikely to accept aany outside initiated report.
>>By lv2read
Erm .....they stopped any weapons programme according to current US "intelligence" opinion 2003. They did and have trumpeted from the rooftops continue with plutonium extraction for nuclear power, Since USA hasn't honoured it's commitments under NNP treaty it's aggressive stance is ridiculous hyperbole and I for one will ridicule it. What is worrying is the extent that intelligence reports have clearly been taken as "gospel" by the likes of Lv2bs when they've clearly been little more than propaganda in the recent past. Lv2rd is astonishing naive as ever.....
Lynn what's your point?
>>By planet ear
Naive?? You are a moron Ear!! Do words such as destroy Israel resonate with you? Do you disbelieve Iran's leader stated intent? Where is the 'brightness' that you allude to? And, how does the UK monitor Iran's intrasingness (sp?)? Or do you just trrust them?
Does Iran's supplying of weapons to Al Quaida cells in Syria and Iraq disturb you a bit??
Show me something here.....

PE, just repeating the Dutch news. With all news applies 'news' and 'truth' are 2 different things and it's hard to say which percentage overlaps ;-) What I heard on a radio show about the subject is that it's clear that Iran stopped their nuclear programme (with the intention of making nuclear bombs) in 2003 - but that they didn't stop enriching uranium - meaning..after 2003 only for peaceful purposes. So the report says that there is "moderate confidence" that the (bomb) programme has not restarted. And you use better English but in your last post you mean the same? ;-)
>>By Lynn
Yep Lynn... there's no secret that Iran has a programme of enrichment (if anything they have exaggerated their progress in this dept to the outside world... which is a fascinating stance when one considers the implications of doing so), essentially we are on the same page.
I suggest lv2bs might like to try getting his "information" from somewhere other than Fox once in while... it's called balance ;)
>>By planet ear
Ear...what do you know about balance? Pssst....do you think British and Amerian prompting played a role in their disengagement?? Hint: the world community spoke harmoniously on this issue----but what did the Communist Daily Worker report?
Fuckwit...is this in the same dictionary where you find spelt and whilst? Diane 76 and Tchock will no doubt side with you. And you need any and all backing that you can get.
>>By lv2read
Spent and whilst: English English dictionary.
Fuckwit: Dictionary of the vulgar tongue. You'd like it.
>>By Flagg
Well I'm glad we still balance PE ;-) And I think we've been too kind again (iow provide opportunity to abreact) so I'm off again :-)
>>By Lynn
Lynn and Ear can't help to out radical one another....and that is balance. I don't run from either of you. And you'd like to be kind and respectful of moderate to conservative positions?? Could have fooled me...
>>By lv2read
"Could have fooled me..."
A common failing in your country and one that successive adminstrations have exploited I fear.....
>>By planet ear
Ear.....more specifics please. BTW, why don't you fear Iran?
>>By lv2read
You've had plenty of examples in these pages lv2bs ... I'm not excited by repeating them sorry.
>>By planet ear
Again Ear, be specific. And, about Iran?
>>By lv2read
see above
>>By planet ear
May I remind you, lv2read, that there has only ever been one country to ever launch a nuke at a city. What, really, is there to fear from Iran? The same of Iraq? The non-existent weapons of mass destruction? Perhaps, too, we should fear them like we fear North Korea with their nuclear missiles of an average airborne lifespan of thirty seconds? Maybe we should fear them like we fear Al Queda, and lie awake at night anxiously wondering if the next attack will happen tomorrow.... in your country... in your town........ to your family... on your stretch of road...... ? You use the word recklessly, lv2read. Does anyone here even know the meaning of it? Iran is not going to attack the U.S. or anyone else unless the entire country suffers severe suicidal tendancies. I don't know why I even typed any of this. Past experience has taught me that if I'm not George Bush, you won't listen to me.
>>By Tchock
Wow, this is like a Sunday morning debate show without the wit and familiarity with world affairs. Please keep it up, really. Listening to right-wing paranoia versus left-wing paranoia is making me feel happy about where I'm at right now. And Marek...If you're going to keep this discussion up, please label it Idiot vs. Idiot so that casual browsers will know what this fine forum has to offer.
>>By Hank Diddler
Yer mum.
You clearly like something about this board or you wouldn't be here.
>>By Flagg
Oh come'on Flagg, with 'Idiot vs Idiot' he could very well mean 'Hank vs L2R' ;-)
PS Hank, I dare say that since I know where you are right now :-))
>>By Lynn
????? above.
>>By lv2read
Well Hank was it idiotic to convince Just Jon by logical argument that he should reappraise some of his views and have him concede that he'd changed his mind? That seemed a fairly worthwhile activity to me.... but hey "your mileage may vary" ;)
>>By planet ear
All that believe Ear has moderated his position, raise their hand. All others are proimoted to thr next grade. (we are talking balance here big boy)
>>By lv2read
With wit like that you should be writing Chrismas Cracker jokes lv2bs....
>>By planet ear
Oh God...I guess it's necessary... While I don't have the time or inclination to argue every point made here, I do have to support L2R in what I believe is his position on the Middle East (or what should be his position, at any rate). Israel, despite its origins, now exists as a state and a productive, democratic one at that. Israel does not deny anyone's right to exist. Those states surrounding Israel deny not only Israel's right to exist, but the right of Jews to exist as a people. They advocate genocide. Our seemingly heavy-handed policy in the Middle East takes this into account. No matter what grievances the Palestinians may have, the fact remains that Israelis don't strap bombs to themselves and kill random civilians. Our policy rightly judges the means as well as the ends. It's hilarious to me that so many liberals consider Ghandi a great man and yet support terrorists in the Middle East as if Ghandi chose non-violence at random rather than because it was right. I live in a Jewish neighborhood here in the U.S., and I can tell you that my Jewish friends don't plot against the U.S., they aren't insular, they don't want me dead because I'm an atheist. I can't say the same for the secretive, separate Muslims who run liquor stores and contribute nothing to the community. George Bush is an idiot compared to most Presidents, if IQ is the standard. He has, however, been intelligently advised when it comes to standing up to the Islamic hordes. Invading Iraq was a mistake, but refusing to bend to their will when they kill civilians and riot over cartoons--that's not only smart but right, and smart plus right trumps smart plus weak any day. For any of you attacking Jews and Israel, you were wrong in 1938 and you're wrong now.
>>By Hank Diddler
Thanks for sharing your views with us Hank, it makes a nice contrast with your childish entrance to the discussion. But no one is attacking Israel on this board. That's something l2r imagined he saw so that he'd have something to argue about.
What Tchock and I mentioned (quite a long time ago now, during the Israel/Lebanon conflict) is simply that Israel's tactics of using missiles which caused *serious* collateral damage, killing many civilians, were unacceptable to us and that the American media, particularly Fox news, appeared to have deliberately glossed over that in their coverage of the conflict, and made Lebanon out to be "the bad guys". Of course Israel as a country and the Jews as a people and a religion should be allowed to exist, and yes, it is horrible that they are treated so badly by the countries around them. I support military action to ensure the country's survival insofar as I ever support any military action (it is never justified, but it may be necessary). I assume this is clear enough for you Hank, but I doubt it will get through to our old friend L2R.
Merry Christmas.

You guy's and gals, Lynn, should all stand in a circle and yank your dicks all at once. In Lynn's case you'd have to improvise. Reading this is a exercise in listening to a Hollywood Super Star tell me what to think about the horrible conditions in Sudan while they soak in their hot tubs and sleep till noon.
George Clooney aside we have Lynn to share the world ills. For Hank "did" Me to call the President less smart then the average Joe, or this case less then what he thinks is required is laughable at best. Assuming you are above average yourself?
Lynn still grasping at the thought of Andy "whoever he is hiding from" McNab still wishing he calls her name while he laying wood to someone uglier then her is still the best price of admission on the Gnooks forum.

"No sound off like you got a pair! "
Maybe you could try "sounding off" as if you had an educated brain, manners, a coherent point, familiarity with consensus reality etc? My testicles are both fine thanks.
Regarding Israel I can't presently see the point in arguing with posters who lack the ability to differentiate between a person having reservations regarding Zionism (particularly as curently enacted) and anti-semitism.
Flagg, your phrase regarding war, (it is never justified, but it may be necessary) is one with which I simultaneously agree and admire for it's eloquent brevity.
Happy New Year to All.
