>NEITHER of you know the difference between personal invective and argument.
Well that's rich.
Again, I was being serious. Just because it's not an argument you've heard before doesn't mean it's juvenile.
>>By Flagg (Friday, 31 Aug 2007 22:10)
Forgive me, but during all the arguing about whose arugment is worth arguing over, arguing over who's allowed to argue here, arguing over whose argument wasn't an argument, the arguing over the arguments, arguing about who's not old enough to argue here, arguing over who's being a hypocrit, the argument caused for the sake of arguing, arguing about who's argument is justified, arguing about who's arguement has become so argumentative that it in itself has created an argument, I've lost track of what we were arguing over.
Why can't we all just get along ?

Go to bed...w/o dinner.
Tchock. My opinions re my homeland are based on years of experience. I plaued by the rules, succeeded and thrived. Many things I would have changed along the way, howevfer. But those that made the rules were much older and wiser than me, i.e. my parents generation. In turn, my sons played by the rules, wishing that many things were different, yet excelling the standards established by my generation...and so on. Maybe I am old...if you consider 63 old, perhasps I'm ugly...even though Christina does not believe such is the case...yet I've left a positive mark in my community by my deeds. So being a target here re my appearance and my age is unsettling to me.
>>By lv2read (Saturday, 1 Sep 2007 03:32)
You're not a *target*. To be honest I was just trying a new way of making the point I've been trying to make all along: different things are important to different people. You don't understand that, and that is *honestly* my only problem with you. To me, my youthfulness and fitness are more important than money will ever be. I realise that may sound insulting and I apologise for that, and I also apologise for not saying it sooner and making myself clear.
Anyway, your post there expresses a healthy and admirable attitude. The thing is though, the founding fathers of your country defied the generations before them. If they hadn't, you would not have been able to live your life the way you have, and I think you'd agree with me there. Those people did what they did because they were unhappy with the way things were. If Tchock and I are unhappy with the way things are today then why should we *not* defy the older generations in some way?

How embarrassing for you. Maybe take a plastic bag with you next time like considerate dog-owners do....
>>By planet ear (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 03:33)
Ear You'd be the first thing I'd place in my bag!!
Learn to shut up AND follow.
>>By lv2read (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 03:45)
Are you telling me what to do?
>>By planet ear (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 03:54)
You don't understand? Was something spelt wrong, mate?
>>By lv2read (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 04:20)
It did appear to be an instruction. The spelling is acceptable.
However the second sentence of your most recent post should properly use the adverb "wrongly" to qualify the verb to spell. Given your frequent inability to make acceptable use of punctuation, your obviously suppressed homosexuality, and the fairly self-evident fact to readers of this board that you are not my mate (in either the colloquial or biological sense), I am trying to decide whether you actually intended
"Was something spelt wrongly? Mate?"
In which case I'd rather not "mate" with you, thanks.
>>By planet ear (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 05:03)
Fun fun fun.
Were you going to bother answering my post L?
>>By Flagg (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 10:28)
Ear is a psychologist also.....how amazing. You might be advised to keep your day job.
>>By lv2read (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 12:01)
LOLAOT @ planet ear. Go on, you know you want to.....

> Ear You'd be the first thing I'd place in my bag!!
So what you're saying is you'd go out, pick up a younger guy, wrap him in something akin to cling-film and take him home with you!
It might work for some but definitely not my cup of tea I'm afraid!
>>By planet ear (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 21:30)
(Served.)
This is getting silly.
>>By Flagg (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 21:33)
What does (served) mean Flagg?
>>By planet ear (Wednesday, 5 Sep 2007 21:37)
It's just what you say when someone gets insulted. Served!
>>By Flagg (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 11:08)
Thanks Flagg. I'm not sure that it was an insult tho... we'll see I expect...
>>By planet ear (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 18:21)
In America, Ear, the bag you referred to is used for collecting dog waste, or the like, and that is why I said that you'd be the first item I'd place in my bag. If that is a Brokeback Mountain theme to you....my suggestion is to get help. In America, we take the dog waste home with us to place in the outdoor trash. Perhaps a gay them to you, but not to anyone else. Did you understand wrongly?
>>By lv2read (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 19:04)
Not at all I'm just wittier than you ;)
>>By planet ear (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 19:31)
....even if you say that yourself... How does it feel being on the wrong side of almost everything?
>>By lv2read (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 19:46)
Wrong side of everything? One example please?
>>By planet ear (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 19:56)
Break it up kids. Come on, someone say something intelligent.
>>By Flagg (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 19:57)
Sorry Flagg I don't take orders from you!
>>By planet ear (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 19:59)
I am curious to see what lv2bs thinks I'm "on the wrong side of". Here's an idea lv2bs. Quote something I've actually said on this board with which you take issue rather than accusing me of some view I haven't expressed which you believe I hold due to your enormous quantity of prejudices.
>>By planet ear (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 20:04)
Ear Let me clarify... L2R has prejudices....Ear has opinions L2R recognizes Bush as a preeminent world leader...Ear can't see beyond the UK.
Have I stumbled upon any wit yet...you make up your mind.
Brokeback Mountain was a great film.....L2r/Will be forgotten quickly.....Ear/a very good film.
So far you're all wrong. How about Iran. Still waiting. Ignor their danger? No way.
Continued security for Israel. With millions of hostile neighbors, whay is the UK willing to do??
So many peopleon the dole in the UK....how long will that go unchallenged?
Lack of ambition in the UK....what is there to be done?
Tradition is good...ancient architecture is great, but how and when will England modernize?
You say that you've studied physics. When will scientists from the UK contribute towards elbow shroud technology in the development of steam generation for breeder reactor plants as can be sdeen in Japan France and England of the future.
On every one of these issues you've either been silent or dead wrong. Why don't you use your wit to avoid (evade) each of these items. A great evader was Homer....so you'd be in reputable company.
Ear...these issues aren't going away.
>>By lv2read (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 22:39)
So not a single thing I've actually said do you take issue with then. Thank you for losing the point. :))
>>By planet ear (Thursday, 6 Sep 2007 22:54)
Ear, ....waiting.....
>>By lv2read (Friday, 7 Sep 2007 00:14)
I'll respond to a direct quote from me with which you have an issue. Not that dishonest whining list of false, groundless and prejudiced accusations.
>>By planet ear (Friday, 7 Sep 2007 00:42)
You want proof of your own dishonesty?
Find me ONE comment I have ever made regarding the film Brokeback Mountain. Copy it. Paste it here with time and date it was made.
Struggling?
>>By planet ear (Friday, 7 Sep 2007 00:50)
>Lack of ambition in the UK....what is there to be done?
Well I think we should try to become even less ambitious.
>On every one of these issues you've either been silent or dead wrong. Why don't you use your wit to avoid (evade) each of these items. A great evader was Homer....so you'd be in reputable company.
I'm a good evader. I much prefer to evade since I have weak arms not suited to blocking and don't have the fortitude to stand there and take it.
