As for alcohol I'm not a huge fan, maybe I'll drink 1 glass of wine in a week, hate superalcoholics, I don't even smoke maybe I should try that to stop me from eating. As for the exercise I do that enough at work. Maybe i shall try the cellerey, it doesn't taste so bad. As to on why I have to loose 5 kg in a month ìcause I'm going on holiday in a month I want to look good.
For aib. hmmmmmmmmm I think you really know too much about AM, are you sure you aren't him. I can smell something burning here. Come on we won't tell. Tell us the truth who you really are, don't be shy.. Anyway who says I'm boris anyway, who says I'm a He, I can even be a She or an It or whatever. (whoops I think I'm going a bit buzerk here, must be all that studying) Help. What would AM do in my situation.
>>By boris (Wednesday, 4 Jun 2003 20:38)

Holland, June 4
Whatever happened to Scouse ??? Com’on Scouse, you said you were young but does that moustache take that long to grow???
Further I’m really having my doubts about the people on this board at the moment. To summarise what I’ve seen lately: guarana pills, alcohol, ‘just’ pills, celery, “I’m drunk” and someone who doesn’t know being a he or a she… my my, I will not take any more accusations of tulip sniffing from you lot, that’s for sure ! ;-)
Re: Boris, What about CR? Is he any good? He is any good, but not as good as anyone we know… (my opinion) Re: What do women see in him anyway? Woops ladies easy on...I'm better, faster and... That’s what those guarana pills do to you Boris… Where AM is very good in under-estimating some people over-estimate themselves... Re: Top secret, Secret, ect. Are you talking movie titles here Jacko?
Re: AIB knowing AM Great answers AIB. But serious…. You do seem to know a lot about Andy indeed….come to think of it……. I wonder……open up to us AIB…. (sorry AIB, couldn’t resist either. VBG!! )
One for the one-liner-quest: "As usual I had been one of their mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on shit"
Something I would like to know more about is the PV (personal vetting) Any specialists here who can tell more, like how this works and what happens when who ever does the vetting finds something…. There are some things in the book (CF) but I’d like to know more… Anyone??
Lynn

Christina,
Favourite character?

>>By Sheba (Wednesday, 4 Jun 2003 22:27)
hi everyone
I was looking for info on Dark Winter and stumbled across this site...i'm a big fan of AM and have read all his books apart from IA which I am 1/4 of the way through. I was reading through some of the previous pages and seen some discussions on a film of CF is this true can anyone give me info on this? also I would be greatfull if anyone could tell me of any good authors similar to AM who write in the first person perspective.
>>By john (Wednesday, 4 Jun 2003 22:32)
Hey AIB,your not one of AM's ex wives, are you?
Lynney, how are you Darlin?,still dreaming of my pic,and hoping i look good in uniform..me too.
Sheba: I didn't see the England game, but i did get Pissed, nothing new there..and yes that is me in Sabre Squadron,my own version of events will be available soon :-O
Halfway through BOF,and after that its VD(spell check :-O ) so talk sooon.
>>By scouse (Wednesday, 4 Jun 2003 22:57)
I give up. I'm sure now aib is the real AM and Chris, Lynn, etc. are his ex-wives. And Sheba your one of his kids hein? Now really....
I'm all on my own on this site, except for john. This is a family site, all written in crypto style, now isn't it. And I haven't taken any guarana for ages. But I know, I understand. I'm not dumb you know.
Did you guys know Am loves snowboarding. I bet you didn't.

Welcome, Jacko -- Sorry, so overdue on saying! So very nice to have another Aussie voice here! Definitely think it has something to do with the accent....
And Welcome, John -- To answer a few of your questions:
Dark Winter: We only have limited info (pg 17)
CF discussions: Some is true (with hyperlinks to original articles), much is just our speculation as to casting, and such (we're killing time until Hollyweird decides what its going to do with CF)
Similar 1st person authors: Misery loves company -- so I'm going to suggest you sample the writing of Dean Francis (www.dean-francis.co.uk). We've all done so and now we're miserable waiting for him to be published! Loads of other good books mentioned here recently: Baptism of Fire (Frank Collins), Sabre Squadron (Cameron Spence), Tornado Down (John Nichol & John Peters) just for starters....
>>By am-i-binned (Wednesday, 4 Jun 2003 23:17)
And don't forget CQB by Mike Curtis my darling ex-hubby.
Scouse!! Where have you been? Was it your boss again? We really need to have a chat with the man (or is it a woman?)
Re: still dreaming of my pic.. How big is it Scouse? (need to know when buying a frame)
Who has 'the hat' these days? Think it's mine now for quit some time.
Boris honey, don't feel alone - we'll warm you into our family.
>>By Lynn (Thursday, 5 Jun 2003 00:27)
Oooh, Boris, please don't keep tempting me with challenges.... vbw!
Last December we were discussing AM/NS aka "Snowboarding Action Man" (on a different/previous board)...based on a Readers Digest interview in April 2000 (promo for RC/CF):
AM: "I've recently been in Vermont for a month and it's great because the mobile phone doesn't work up there. I was doing a bit of snowboarding. Yes. Sad but true! I like snowboarding even though I'm probably a bit old for it. You are supposed to be about thirteen if you snowboard, I think. But I love it. Absolutely love it!"
(I'm guessing that you read this interview, too, Boris, but if not, let me know and I'll email you a copy.)
Uh-oh, Sheba, now you've got me concerned nutritionally about Nick -- especially considering his penchant for Mars Bars and Spam! vbg, vbw!
Scouse! An ex- ? Me? As if! But that's okay, it doesn't change the way I feel about you....
Lynn, last time I saw the punishment hat was when you were running, but I think Sheba was supposed to get it from you later for posting the "Sabre Squadron snake story"... (oh, try that three times fast...) -- did you ever hand it over or were you ?
Okay, Christina -- personal fav -- AM and NS, practically one in the same....
Has anyone heard anything at all further about this movie?
The Protector (www.pcmovienews.comlgossip.htmi)
"On site for the film 'The Protector' starring the yummy Gabriel Byrne, Jean Reno and a very popular Jennifer Connelly, director Michael Mann has hired ex-SAS soldier Andy McNab as their weapons and tactics consultant. This is their second pairing ever since the 1994 movie 'Heat'. Rumour has it that McNab will also have a small role in the movie. He has trained many of the movies actors in a secluded location in northern England. ..."

Just surfing 'n' researching when I stumbled on the below report on a movie site:
"Miramax denies reports that it is in production on Crisis Four, an adaptation of a novel in which Osama bin Laden attempts to assassinate the president by staging an attack on the White House. Miramax purchased the rights soon after former elite Brit operative Andy McNab published it in 1999."
Is this an old article, or is CF still in pre-production stage?
>>By Sheba (Thursday, 5 Jun 2003 12:35)
Hi, Sheba... Lynn sited this article on pg 3 (15/2/03) but it's actually news from Oct 2001. Always watching, but there really hasn't been anything too much further. My suspicion is that CF has been suspended completely in a very pre-production state.
>>By am-i-binned (Thursday, 5 Jun 2003 13:15)
thanks AIB I will look into those books. I would love to see a film on one of AM's books preferably one of the first three RC CF or FW although I dont think it could ever be as good as the books
>>By john (Thursday, 5 Jun 2003 16:29)

>>By christina (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 17:42)
If you really fail your exam and it's because you hang around here instead of studying you'll have that hat on before you know it Christina.
Dark Winter as I recall right should be published this 'fall', so that may be..... when is 'fall' Chrissy - you are our studente here, you should know.
Something funny about students (studenten in Dutch) - in Holland we have something we call 'studenten-haver' which is.... nuts and raisins. I wonder what this brought into my head.
take care, hope you didn't fail Chrissy and good luck with the rest of the exams.
>>By Lynn (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 19:47)
i dont know what 'fall' is but i know it comes out in november i just wanted to know the date so fall must be winter or somthing i don't know says me i cant even remember when winter starts! i can never remember the simple stuff and i am studying ill show you some more but it is really boring !!!!!!! and just a bit off topic i will get my results back in august (too long to wait) then we might be able to get that hat off your head lynn and onto mine
>>By christina (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 20:14)
p.s just realised im glad i dont have exams on friday !!!!!!!!!!!
>>By christina (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 20:14)
Fall = US Autumn = UK ...since we were talking about differences in language...
I don't know what Aussies use but since they have a UK background I suppose Autumn. But who knows, they may have a word of their own.
As far as I know it starts 21st of September and ends when (Dark) Winter starts the 21st of December.
Dutch word = "herfst" by the way. But this 'herfst' Liberation Day will be published in Dutch which will be called Dag van Bevrijding.
And I'm NOT keeping the hat till August. I may have it again, but I'm sure I can pass it on one of these days ;-)
>>By Lynn (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 21:35)
You know what, Christina, maybe we're completely mistaken about you studying. Is it possible that you've been studying so much that you've actually completely short-circuited and burned out all your synaptics?....
Unfortunately, nothing has changed between the first time you asked about Dark Winter on pg 25, and when John just asked about Dark Winter on this very page, pg 36. The info on Dark Winter is still the same as posted on pg 17.
AM said October 2003, that's all, no specific date. Most of us keep watching, waiting, researching to fill the time. Believe me, if and when any of us find any news, it will be posted!
>>By am-i-binned (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 21:58)
its fair i have to wait until august for my results you have to keep the hat until august i think thats a good deal! oh right the fall etc makes sense to me now but i still havent figured out what date it comes out yet?
