I send cheque from my UK bank to Transworld for signed book.
It was sent to address I gave in England for my friend to be sent and it arrive with compliments Transworld label.

I think money speak if it is English pounds.

>>By Jumbalaya   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 16:42)

hhhhhhhhmmmmmmm my mind i changing should i should't i how much did you send?

>>By christina   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:00)

Yes, Jumbalaya, yes! Thank you! I think you may very well have hit upon the secret -- money!

Oh, how could I have been so naive! If only I'd just paid Transworld for services that they should be providing free of charge! Services that would promote their clients and broaden their marketship! Services that might actually increase their sales! Services that in the end generate would more money than they could ever hope to make off of me paying for their paltry assistance! Lame! They're just plain lame!

Ahem, excuse me, has anyone seen where I left my fire extinguisher? I'm feeling quite hot under the collar again....

>>By am-i-binned   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:07)

ok again AIB calm down i can feel the heat from here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How much did you send Jumbalaya??

>>By christina   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:11)

Damn! (...mutter, mutter...stupid finger flubs...)

Meant to say: Services that in the end would generate more money....

Hmmm, might be cuza hangin' out with my favorite German fella tho'... (vbg, vbw!)

Re: Punishment hat of course
Of course and I shall wear it gracefully. But no tulips???? How do I live through????

Re: Lynn, you keep running!
Pffffffffffffffffffff when can I stop??? I’m really really exhausted now!!

Scouse, Sheba, Chris I truly apologize since you are in the dark here.. maybe if a new email address is opened and you still wonder.. I can explain…. But I’m not sure A-I-B will allow…
oh oh.. ok I’m still running….pffffffffffffffffff

Re: i am VC
What does that mean? And can’t help you Chris, you’re on your own. But good luck andyway!

Oh, and Josh = Colin Salmon

His breath smelled like road kill
I gave him the good news (Tazer) right on the pectoral muscle
..and that was him trussed up like an oven-ready chicken
(wouldn’t want to be in that guys shoes..)

Ask Scouse for the fire extinguisher AIB, he's got the suit - he'll probably has one of those too

Lynn

>>By Lynn   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:20)

Christina! Are you actually a shill? Come on, 'fess up -- do you really work for Transworld and are just here to bait us? (vbg, vbw!)

>>By am-i-binned   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:22)

Oh no you don't, Lynn! You keep right on running! Especially now that I know the scope of your treachery! Man-o-man! Some sister you are!

And a particular member of the Canidae family better heed this warning, too, and be running like h*** to stay at the front of the pack! I'll "kinky" you, buster!!!!

I'm sorry, innocents (non-offboarders). There is a buffer emailbox but this is one thing I will not be explaining, onboard or offboard, ever! Lynn has done quite enough damage already all by her little-tulip-sniffin'-thank-you-very-much-not-used-to-be-my-sister-I'll-teach-you-now-girlfriend self!

VBG, VBW --- GRRRRRRR!

>>By am-i-binned   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:37)

Re lynn: VC=very confused

>>By christina   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:38)

Just found this quote..

Better to be judged by 12 people in a court than to be carried by six in a church."

- Former SAS soldier Andy McNab on split-second decisions faced by troops

Christina, I once did my French about the game Jeu de boulles, a lot of French terms.. saved me lots of work translating - VBG

AIB...... oooh I'm at your feet in all humbleness... (?) please tell me what to do to make it up to you - I'll do it. Whatever is possible being separeted by an ocean....
I'm not worthy... I'm not worthy...

>>By Lynn   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:45)

>>By christina   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 17:45)

Still with those burnt books, I see, Christina, but at least you understand now about Transworld.... vbg, vbw!

Okay! Alright, Lynn! Get up before someone sees you! (Good grief, the grovelling is even more embarrassing)...

Contrition is good for the soul, Lynn... and I do see you as being a good soul... so, okay, you can stop running now....but, Lord, Girl -- what were you thinking?!?!? Oh no!!! Wait! Shut-up! Don't you dare say what you were thinking!!! That's how we got in this mess to start with!

Damn those tulips!

Forget the fire extinguisher, Scouse! Does anyone have a very big shovel I could borrow.... I got some serious uprooting to do!!!! (And yes, PR, I do know what I just said! You've seen how out of breath and grovelling Lynn is -- don't you dare go there, boy-o!)

>>By am-i-binned   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 18:05)

Boy, am I relieved.... that I can stop running...
no just kidding AIB, I'm glad we're back to the sister thing..
And I promise to be good from now on....
(but only if you want me to - hahaha)

>>By Lynn   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 18:14)

>>By christina   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 18:16)

Good luck!

>>By Lynn   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 18:19)

i know i will never get a top grade.
but i could become a homeless women and live outside transworld (it will make them look really nice with a homeless women living outside) and read AM's books (they will be my only possesions apart from a dog because all homeless people have dogs and a sleeping blanket) and throw stones through the windows. Will you visit me and give me loose change and give my dog treats.

>>By christina   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 18:35)

Christina, your sentence makes sense, but it's better to say "ma maison est parfaite mais en mars dernier c'était horrible". (Why? What happened?)

Lynn, what kind of game are you talking about exactly?... It seems that you're leading us to another dangerous topic once more!

>>By Alice   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 19:18)

Christina, I will come around your living place when I visit the UK, sit down besides you, pat your dog and ask "How did this all happen to us? We started out good people."

>>By Merry Gardener   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 19:27)

Oh good about BoF, Scouse! I was just so worried for your sake, bunnykins. Okay, okay, so I really haven't gotten over you yet -- it's all the memories, the little giggles we shared, special time together in the banishment block, and, oh yeah.... the picture of you that Hoarwithy sent me before he left so suddenly (wink, wink)....

Now, has anybody else been thinking of Firewall lately -- in particular, Narva? Maybe even Vorsim?

>>By am-i-binned   (Thursday, 29 May 2003 22:59)

Re: another dangerous topic

Sheba,

Try American publishers, I did and it worked. I'll have a book coming out there next year.

Some American publishers are crying out for trans-atlantic novels = American hero or heroine with Brit Euro slant....

all the best & good luck

>>By buddy   (Friday, 30 May 2003 09:18)

hi people

i have been thinking about firewall recently. I was deciding whether or not to read it again.

michelle was lyin she doesn't like AM she just has no more freinds!

>>By christina   (Friday, 30 May 2003 09:29)

Buddy! Congratulations!!!

Very pleased for your news of finding a US publisher! Lots of questions, if I may: What pen name will you be using? Is this a new story you've written? If yes, is it the story you were talking about with skierfrance? And also, if it is a new story, are you saying you wrote with an American lead character, from an American angle? Neat, if so! Will your book be a US circulation only? And, one that we've discussed at length (and a personal point for you), will you have to modify to US spelling, terms, etc.? You know all too well how many variations we've discovered between AM's UK and US versions alone (not even going into translated versions), but they're based on UK publication first being then modified to the US market. I'm wondering if you'll have to modify much seeing as (if this is a new story) you're going to be publishing in the US first....

I know you're not big on loads of questions, but, helz belz, I've always had questions for you and some things just never change.... Again, I am very pleased for you, Buddy! Very big congratulations!!!

>>By am-i-binned   (Friday, 30 May 2003 11:38)

yeah congrats buddy!!!

>>By christina   (Friday, 30 May 2003 12:08)

Haven't decided on non de plume, may go for previous married name!! US spelling throughout but books available worldwide.

New Story (old one in closet) - already had an American hero, third-person narrative so you get to know what both characters are thinkng, feeling about each other = friction/tentative denied longing!!

Always have researched differential terminology first-hand: fan = butt (US) fan UK = "pass" = for anyone not in the know use imagination - it ain't ass!!!

gotta go, lots to do.

have fun
