Well, since we have Buddy for the intellectual stuff and I'm at best with the girlie stuff...... Jamie Draven.... (deep sigh)....
we have an expression in Holland.. sure you'll have something similar but I'd like to be educational too sometimes (hahaha)
In Holland we say "I'd like to have my little slippers under his bed" But.... if I'm really honest... he should be out of his shell a little longer.

Is it me or does Ross Kemp look like he suffers from downs syndrome - especially when wearing cam cream?

>>By noname   (Tuesday, 22 Jul 2003 23:55)

The geek from spooks could play a decent N Stone - if he gained a personality

>>By Sheba   (Tuesday, 22 Jul 2003 23:57)

Whether you like Ross Kemp or not, Henno is a pukka character and you find him so real.........shame CR isn't involved in the latest series of UF

>>By S...   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 00:00)

Christina? Where art thou? Aint seen you for ages - I thought you were gonna marry me?

>>By me   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 00:02)

Hi there Buddy,

Yes I'd live in Malaysia... Thanks for your comment.

Once I'd read a book by an SAS operative ... Can't remember the writer's name. The writer mention that he'd once trained in Malaya... In another chapter, he mention about Malaysian peacekeeper in Bosnia. An 'e-friend' of mine than asked - What's the difference? He's a Brits.

>>By Marc   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 08:09)

Me, Chrissy is in retreat to prepare for marriage. She'll be back in a couple of days.

>>By Lynn   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 11:05)

Meant to say I'm way behind with everything today, thanks to McNab and "Last Light"...

Yeah, I picked it out as first read from the five books received yesterday...

>>By buddy   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 12:21)

Just one of the brides maids Buddy.... But we are making arrangements for Andy to give the bride away..
Should we succeed I'll be happy to play mother..

>>By Lynn   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 13:36)

Well then that just leaves Jamie Draven to play Nick Stone, we can pretend he's ten years older and as long as he can drop that Manc accent, he's perfect. He can already shoot a gun and storm a building! Gorgeous. He can audition for me anytime ha ha.

>>By Bethan   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 13:57)

Lynn, you can't be a bridesmaid (maid) if you got kiddywinks, that's why married women have to be "matrons of honour" to the bride...

Bethan, a good make-up artist can age JD sufficient to pass as NS, and other than us Brits who would know the difference between a Mancunian & a Sou'f Londoner...

Oh god, the paint-pot awaits, my sitting-room about to become Tea Tree green edged in white...Will leave Last light on the coffee table, it's cover jacket "dark green and black" - a fitting contrast...

>>By buddy   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 15:24)

Sold the kids couple of pages ago, never married the father... would that do? Oh, Please!! I always wanted to be a brides maid before my 25th birthday....

What's a mancunian?

>>By Lynn   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 20:03)

Now don't tell me you galls like Jamie Draven?? He's too boyish to me. Give me the real stuff, and we'll talk.

>>By borisette   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 20:20)

Real stuff.................eeeeeeeerrrr.............. Andy??

>>By Lynn   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 21:19)

But if you think I'm gonna 'give' him to you.... no way !
hahaha

>>By Lynn   (Wednesday, 23 Jul 2003 21:21)

Did anyone else see last nights Ultimate Force? Does that really happen? I thought that officer was very cute. Handy profession to be in if you did want to kill your mate though, so easy to disguise.

Lynn

A mancunian is someone from Manchester (as Jamie Draven is) they all have really annoying accents - think Oasis!

>>By Bethan   (Thursday, 24 Jul 2003 09:54)

Thanks Bethan, 'fraid have no contribution regarding UF..
snif..snif. But who knows...maybe some dutch tv channel will make my day in future..

Annoying accent... to whom Beth??? Maybe yours is annoying to them.. ;-) I must say I don't find accents annoying unless I can't understand what they're saying. Is it that bad?

>>By Lynn   (Thursday, 24 Jul 2003 14:48)

I've always found accents interesting. If JD speaks with a mancurian accent and Bethan says it's tha accent of the oasis blokes, hmm well then I guess there are better ones, and I agree.
How is it when they have a "Geordie " accent, CR should speak that way. And AM didn't he have a south londoner accent, now don't they say like "you know what I mean" a hundred times.
I just LOVE tha scottish accent, with the rolling arrrrrrr. Don't like liverpool, cornwall is ok and so is Wales.
It's strange, when these accents even change from town to town, and this is just worldwide. I remember it was the same when I lived in Belgium, the accent even changed when the towns were only like 5 to 10 km apart. It's the same here in Italy. Living in Tuscany you can hear who is from Florence, Pisa Livorno ... like wanting to say one thing or a word , they all say it ina different way, or use other words for it. The hardest ones are to understand are the Sicilian and Napoletano, even my husband sometimes doesn't understand those, imagine me having to deal with those patients and trying to understand what there problem is. Well I've been through it and just did my best, even with drawings, the trouble is they understand you but you don't 'cause they just continue babbling in their own dialect.

>>By borisette   (Thursday, 24 Jul 2003 18:07)

Well my english is just getting worse, will have to come to the UK for a while and speak with all you lot. What region should I go to to speak "nicely". I read that AM lives in Lytham St. Anne's is that so. Maybe I could go and pay him a visit. How is the accent there?

>>By borisette   (Thursday, 24 Jul 2003 18:13)

Hey how about Hereford, who wants to join me? Let's organise a trip, we can do some trekking on the brecon beacons, speaking good english. We'll need a guide, 'cause we'll get lost. Now who could we take.......any suggestions??One rule I don't want to carry a bergen.
Am I on my own here, speaking to myself.
Is there anybody theeeeeeeeeeeeere?

>>By borisette   (Thursday, 24 Jul 2003 18:19)

Perhaps the reason geordie is no longer involved with Ultimate Force is because the plots have become somewhat even more crazy.

>>By stevie mitchell   (Friday, 25 Jul 2003 00:34)

Oh Lynn I have a wonderful Welsh accent that couldn't be annoying to anyone!!! So I am glad that Borisette likes the Welsh accent or I'd cry. So Lytham-St-Anne's that's really posh isn't it? Can't for the life of me remember where it is but isn't it on the south coast somewhere? Should be easy to spot him with their pucker english accents and his south london drawl.

I've heard a rumour from a friend of mine in London that to get a cab (in cockney rhyming slang) is to 'grab a McNab'. How cool is that? Wonder if he'd let me literally grab him ha ha.

>>By Bethan   (Friday, 25 Jul 2003 10:12)

Ummm got Lytham st Annes confused with somewhere else it's not down south at all. Well geography was never my strong point, I'm never quite sure which way I'm facing and don't give me a map wouldn't even know which way round to hold it.

>>By Bethan   (Friday, 25 Jul 2003 10:17)

Yeah, read about that one too Beth.. grab a mcnab...
oh, the jokes I could make about this one.... ;-)
But I won't. It would be poof'd andyway...

I'll definitely go on that trip with you Borisette...
and that guide.... mmmmm... guess who'd I have in mind..

>>By Lynn   (Friday, 25 Jul 2003 11:41)

Oooh Lynn now don't tell me you want AM to come along. He'll be babbling our heads of and telling us off . "Do this, do that, go over here, carry this, walk faster..., get down, go go go, absolutely here and absolutely there, .."
It would be too much for me, I can't cope with that. We'd have to brew his tea ourselves, and he'd be running around with his spoon eating and tasting first all the goodies we'd bring, and leave nothing for us. Then I read he snores too, I need my nightsleep. And what if he takes of his boots, ooh my , the smell. Hopefully he won't give us the shittybag aswell. Just think about it Lynn, it could become a nightmare bringing him along.
How about Stan, he's big and strong (well once he used to be so) he could carry the both of us when we get tired. But then on the otherhand he's got a bad reputation so maybe we wouldn't be all that safe at all with him, knowing his second name was/is Dr Sex. Who else is there. CR? He'd be showing off all his muscles, naaaaah. Dinger, ...don't know how he looks like.
Well we could put up some sort of advert, so we could choose.
WANTED : SAS man or ex SAS
good looks, gentleman
age 25-45

maybe we should ask buddy what we could write.

>>By borisette   (Friday, 25 Jul 2003 13:09)

I do suggest you add what you want him for...
This one could very easily be misunderstood.... ;-)
(or was that the point??? haha)

Further: to be honest, looking deep into my soul (oh..am I there yet ?? ouch, not as deep as I thought..) I do like a little
"Do this, do that, go over here, carry this, walk faster..., get down, go go go, absolutely here and absolutely there, .."
But...only from certain people of course..
(Oh, wouldn't some love to give their analysis on this one...)

Does this show by the way we're desperate for some real news ??? ;-)

>>By christina   (Saturday, 26 Jul 2003 13:53)

Welcome back Chrissy!
Are you going to join Lynn and me on our Beacon Trekking, we'll need a guide I doubt it that AM is available right now. Didn't you go to Wales, if so didn't you meet anyone there.
You know what I mean.

Lynn : well of course there is going to be the "do this, go down, run bit but it all depends on how much and how he demands it to you.
I'm used to giving orders not receiving them, my mum always called me " sergant major" cause I would boss people around. Now I've calmed down a bit, had too with that Italian husband of mine.
Well I guess we are deserate for some news.
Haven't heard from Am i binned for a while, maybe on vacantion???
