You forgot to mention 'lack of responsibility' - if not getting full report how are we gonna know what's it (read: he) is like???

Anybody heard of AM perhaps writing another non-fiction? Always preferable over fiction. Next time AM visits this site (I'm assuming it happens on occasion - who can resist doing "google searches" on themselves from time to time to find out what's out there), please think about putting your pen to that.

>>By january   (Wednesday, 24 Nov 2004 23:16)

thanks DTO - I'm adopted too but I still know how old I am - if I give out the wrong age, believe me I intend to.

>>By january   (Thursday, 25 Nov 2004 01:15)

Andy McNab's month and year of birth have been on my website for a while now. If he were trying to hide it, I don't think that would be the case.
LOTS of people I know accidentally state their age incorrectly now and then, including me. I also memorized pi to 200 digits, so I think it's fair to say that one can have a good memory for numbers and maybe not give a rat's about their age.
I may get my age wrong sometimes, but it's because it no longer concerns me, not because I'm tryin' to fool ya....Unless you're a cute 23-year-old, in which case I'm 25.

>>By Just Jon   (Thursday, 25 Nov 2004 01:33)

Exactly JJ, I've been 28 for quite some time now, for a growing period every year.

Sometimes this board gets a bit well boring....Hahahaha so lil joke for all my long time fellow F-troopers..
Irish man is dying and he is lying in his bed when he can smell freshly baked cheese scones, wafting through the door.
Oh lord he says am i in heavan, you know lord i love my wifes cheese scones have you made me my favourite meal oh lord.
he drags his thin and wiry body out of bed, his lips a purplish colour, his skin haggard and drawn, he makes his way downstairs.
there on the hug dining table is the biggest cheese scone he had ever seen..
Oh Lord i must be in heaven have you made this scone for me...
His weak hand outstreched, he goes to pull a lil bit of scone away and put it to his dry old withered lips..
When suddenly a giant spatchler comes down and hits him on the hand.
he turns to see his wife there.
leave that alone she shouts thats for the funeral...

Uhm... shall I post or shall I not... ;-) Well, what the heck, it is kind of funny - and all in the line of 'make love, not war'
From thesun.co.uk:

"SAS heroes have sparked such a baby boom that a new school is being built for all their extra kids.

Military sources last night said the rise was partly due to SAS men being sex hungry when they return home after missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Also the average age of troopers has fallen to below 30.

The primary school will go up close to the regiment’s Stirling Lines barracks near Hereford.

The number of babies born to SAS men has risen forty per cent in the last eight years."

>>By Lynn   (Saturday, 27 Nov 2004 00:21)

And for the little boys amongst us:

Junior SAS Experience Price: £99.00
Non stop thrills on our Junior SAS course - designed to sort the men from the boys. (Just boys??????? how.......rude, duh!!)
Ages 11 to 16.

What child at some point hasn’t run around a school playground making pretend machine gun noises? Make their dream come true and watch their faces light up as they are kitted up in combats and helmets and handed a machine gun! Don’t worry, it's really a laser but it weighs the same and the Army use it for training. Search and destroy missions are just part of this event which also includes grenade and mortar firing ranges. An action packed event for action packed kids!

Anyone wanna lace up their Timberlands for a quick run to Tesco's or Wal-Mart to get some Spam and Mars bars? Or maybe McDonalds? I'd go myself in the Larda (God-only-knows where the Ducati is), but I'm busy setting Traser for US eastern standard time...

Open Book, Sunday 4.00-4.30pm

What's up with my fellow f-troopers, boy this place has gone quiet, not even my joke has helped, is it the xmas blues, or are you all just busy reading deep black.

>>By Bri Gamer   (Sunday, 28 Nov 2004 01:39)

Bri Gamer-

Can't speak for others, but I've been pretty busy lately. Holidays and family get-togethers come first, you know. If you find yourself bored with the board (ha ha), get a hobby. ;-)

PRINCE Harry’s in safe hands with his Royal Protection Squad minders, says SAS hero and counter-terrorism expert Andy McNab.

Some of the most stirring activities carried out by the SAS took place in WW2, and especially in Germany towards the end of the war. They caused such havoc in the country that special Gestapo units were created to hunt them down and kill them. This action was partly successful, when captured the unlucky soldiers were summarily executed, against the rules of war. In a book I have just read 'The Secret Hunters' by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, (ex-SAS, thrown out for 'inappropriate use of explosives', bet that's a good tale!) he explains how the murderers were themselves hunted down and killed after the war was over by a group of SAS men led by Major Eric Barkworth, even after the Regiment was disbanded. You don't mess with these guys! Fuller review in AMFT database.

Hi All,

Hope everyone had a good Holiday for those who have Thanksgiving. Ok...I finished DB...What is there to read next any ideas? While I'm asking, Have any of you read Big Breach by Richard Tomlinson? That was my first encounter to MI5/MI6 which lead me to AM and SAS books. Which my husband being british had a lot to do with it as well.

http://www.antioffline.com
/bigbreach/bigbreach.html

If you haven't read the Big Breach try this location. This is about an ex MI6 man who was on the run from country to country just to sell his book or get it published. It's very interesting.

I do have to say DB is different then AM's other books. Well ta ta for now...

Just Jon,

Just checked out your web site. Impressive, I really like the Concordance.

Notice the Baby G is back and no Traser. Who here owns a Baby G? Or even better a Traser?

>>By BadTime   (Wednesday, 1 Dec 2004 18:05)

I always wondered about the Baby G..... Isn't that the female version of the Casio G Shock?

I actually used to own a Baby G. It was a huge ice blue monstrosity with dolphins leaping on the screen. It was ok........ for a 12 year old. I never wore mine as I couldn't look at it without laughing.

>>By Majorette   (Wednesday, 1 Dec 2004 19:11)

Nowt wrong with Baby G, even when pink.....

I have a Traser watch or as they are now known 'H3'. Its a nice strong watch and luckily for me I have found it quite useful at times! Don't think I fancy testing the titanium casing though but I will take the manufacturers word for it cos it is weightless!

Majorette,
I thought it was the ladies version also. I was at a store that sold them and a guy was buying one. I asked the clerk if many men bought them, he said a few. What I wonder if they read AM. A secret US ground swell.

bri,
Read DB, liked it very much and was not disappointed. Funny about Ghost Recon 2, just got it myself.

>>By BadTime   (Wednesday, 1 Dec 2004 23:00)

Seems like chatzy is on the run again too, have fun.
