Lynn: I've got those videos now. Soon they will be up for direct download at that undisclosed site we keep disclosing. Waterproof: We'll just have to agree to disagree. I certainly don't mind you coming on here and bitching about Andy, I was just saying that others might. I enjoy arguing, even if I have to take a side I don't actually believe, such as "McNab is a good writer." You mentioned George Carlin, and he's kind of an idol of mine, so that's cool. I think you're an interesting woman and I always enjoy hearing from English chicks.

Thanx Hank, been kind of too busy for maintenance but that should be ok soon :-) That guy 'by some number' seems to be holding the fort! ;-)

That idiot mercenary (and ex-SAS) Simon Mann has been handed over to the Equatorial Guineans (he tried to stage a coup in E.G.) and is facing torture, etc...a tough row to hoe for a 65-year-old. I have zero sympathy for him, but thought I should let his fans know if there are any here. http://greymansland.com/andymcnabnews

Well lynn,
I'm so pleased that you have not lost your wit and humour. A happy new year to you too !
I'm feeling (and looking) remarkably clean at the moment, tucking into a sardine sarnie and thought I'd pop my head around the Flork door to say hello. I shall be free for the reasonably near future so will be visiting more often.
Take care and Hi to Ninja.

An Andy McNab anecdote...and yes it's true... Andy once went to an expensive car dealership dressed in his Saturday worst, and was offended when the snooty salesperson assumed McNab couldn't afford the cars sold there and treated our hero like a second-class citizen. So Andy "taught the guy a lesson." He bought an expensive car there, thus rewarding the prick salesman with a fat commission and rewarding the establishment that treats people that way with a nice sale. The reason I bring this up is, Ninjawoman apparently wants to hear from people who "make sense." Let's hope Andy doesn't show up here and offend her, since he rarely if ever makes sense.

Unlike you Hank?? ;-)
Ninj thank you for lying on my behalf. I'm not worthy ;-)
I got sent a Crossfire "Rupert Review": The London Review of Books had their contributing editor Andrew O'Hagan review Andys and Chris Ryans new books. It's (partly) posted on GML, see http://greymansland.com/andymcnabnews/?p=112

Andy McNab and Winston Churchill: What have they got in common?
From the Mill Hill School site:
It is estimated that between 10 - 15 per cent of the population are affected by dyslexia. Some 4 per cent are severely affected and may never be able to read fluently, even as adults. Dyslexia is not a disease, like measles, that people can recover from. However, an early diagnosis and appropriate support will make a positive difference.
Here’s a list of famous dyslexics… http://www.millhill.org.uk/popups/ [ LOSE SPACE ] academic-support1.html

Brilliant new book with perhaps the last word on B20?
"When a twenty year veteran of the SAS and a highly experienced private security contractor takes the trouble to shatter a few misconceptions we should all pay close attention and prepare to have our illusions dissolved. Yes, it's that bad out there. We can never again view the supposed bad guys and good guys with our long held assumptions. He has harsh words to say about the situations and personnel in Israel/Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and surprisingly, some new insight into the Bravo Two Zero mission with which he was involved (the book is dedicated to Vince Phillips, A Soldier). However, his most scathing criticism is reserved for the private security industry and shocking it is too. A very disturbing book revealing that nothing out there in the hostile parts of the world are quite as we assume, or are led to assume. A must read publication if ever there was one."

Er, forgot to mention that the book is 'The Circuit' by Bob Shepherd, it's me age y'know.

Shjeesh Camban, being a world famous hot young supermale model of 25 and already memory issues ? Let's call it a jetlag ok ? Btw the book sounds good, any idea when you can have it read and reviewed in detail ? Take your time stud, but please before you fly off to another exotic place. Thank you Camban
>>By Ninjawoman (Tuesday, 13 May 2008 23:25)
Cam, I'm ordering the book, and we'd like a review for gml. Strange, though, that the same thing I've been saying about "private contractors" for years here is suddenly gospel because it comes from an SAS man. Mercs are the scum of the earth. And all "private contractors" are mercs. Therefore...well, the logic's pretty easy to follow.

Oh Ninj darling, how nice of you to say such lovely things, but don't you remember when you were at that party on my yacht in Cannes last season? When you were introducing your new range of polythene underwear? I told you that I was beginning to forget things? In addition to becoming delusional? And darling, I have already read and reviewed the book, see above and AMFT, that's all yer getting, must fly.
And Jonny baby, the review is wafting through the intellectual maelstrom that Linny baby calls her brain/computer interface; it's on its way mate. And forgive me contradicting old chap, but you need to read the book before pronouncing judgement. And I must respectfully point out that he's been there, done that, whereas.............
>>By camban (Wednesday, 14 May 2008 15:30)
Yep Hank, well received and posted this evening - Cam was so kind to send it same time as posting here, but I am late late with posting on GML, sorry - but it's there now.
So... Cam and Ninj are having age problems, partying on yachts in Cannes and introducing underwear (which reminds me.... ahh never mind) and all I get is 'intellectual maelstrom' ?? Oh ok, I can live with that.
Let's see if I got some links that weren't posted here yet...
An article in the SUN: Andy McNab about “Grand Theft Auto (GTA) IV” Quote: “Every soldier I’ve met treats things in different ways, but the one thing they always have in common is that when they find themselves in a killing situation they are scared”
You can read what else Andy thinks about these games here: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/ [ LOSE SPACE ] fun/gizmo/article1106225.ece
And then there's the news that Andy will be a special guest at the ‘Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival’. This will take place in Harrogate from 17 – 20 July 2008. Andy will be interviewed on the 19th from 8.30pm until approx. 9.30pm. A full hour of facts and gossip.... ?? Sigh, wished I could be there. You can read more on the Festivals website and order tickets: http://www.harrogate-festival.org.uk/crime/ [ LOSE SPACE ] crime-events.html
That's the present news.. by Linny baby (???) haha

Not only remember it, still got the headache to match it! Cam, thanks for all the memories...hihihihihihi
>>By Ninjawoman (Thursday, 15 May 2008 15:58)
Thanks for the review, Cam! As you may have guessed, Lynn is single-handedly keeping GML alive and any help she can get is much appreciated by all. I didn't mean to sound a prick as usual, it's just that I don't think we can leave the judging of right and wrong to those committing the acts. If we did so, every murderer would get off without punishment unless we could find 12 murderers to judge the geezer. Listening to those who have been there and done that is of course necessary and just; but each of us has a sense of right and wrong taught to us by nature, law, society, and our personal observations. When a man picks up a gun and goes forth to make life or death decisions, he should be judged much more carefully than one who say, sells shoes for a living. Just my opinion. At any rate, good to see Ninj and Cam and everyone else who's still having a bit of fun here.

Hello Hank, message read and understood, however, I want to point out that I am in fact helping a lot .. by staying out of Lynn's way !! Considder me being the person at the dinnerparty that looks amazing with a glass of something alcoholic in her hand, happily chatting away at ( and or with ) the host or hostess, always ready to help but when it gets tricky I'll be checking yout library out or something like that!! hihihihihi glad you enjoy our fun Hank shame Cam is not in Cannes this year, the weather is great !
