I agree kestrel$, I don't like the model on the cover of the FBI series and yeah, she does look more like Tatiana than Gaia. What are with those heels she is sporting? Gaia hardly EVER wore heels except for a few times and she would never wear them while she was on a case, unless she was an undercover hooker (which I could NOT see happening). Oh well, whatcha gonna do? I guess we could protest but that would require some work.....
I also agree with what you said about the first chapter in LIVE BAIT, where she says she is different now, I don't like that either. It just seems so un-Gaia-like. I mean, its great that she is making some more friends now, but I guess it depends when she means "different". Hopefully what she means is that she has matured a bit more (not that she wasn't before) and understands the world around her a bit better. Something like that. If she changes completely out of character then that would just bite. I guess we shall see.

Hey all..... I'm new to this discussion thing, but I think it;s cool. I absolutely LOVE the Fearless Series, Gaia is awesome! I'm confused though...how many special addition books are there? and are there any other series by Francine Pascal that you'd reccomend, I'm addicted!

There are two Special Editions (so far) out right now, to my knowledge. There is BEFORE GAIA and GAIA ABDUCTED. They were really great.
The only other series that I know the title of that were written by Francine Pascal is the Sweet Vally High series. There are tons more that she has written over her career but you can easy find out about those with some little research. I know that she has released a new series, relating to teen themes, but I don't know the title of that series. But, like I said, you can easly find out more about that and there will be others on this thread who will let you know about them.
As for any recommendations, I haven't read any other series by Pascal but I have seen the Sweet Vally High show. Don't reallly remember anything about the show but I have seen it :) .

don't bother listening to them, that rumours bin goin on 4 years! There waz gonna b a fearless series out, but it had nothin to du wid the actual fearless series apart frm the fact that the girls fearless! nothin else iz the same, so dont bother wid it (its not cummin out anyway, its just too bad lol) Anyway there iz another series of Pascal's, the FEARLESS FBI! series! :P U forgot that one Andrika! lol. Anyway its just started, and u hav to read it after you've read fearless coz it follows on kindof, but its no where near as good as fearless, so enjoy the series while u can, b4 it runs out!
And sports chiq, soz about talkin about stuff u don't know, but i totally agree wid u, a fearless widout Ed iz no fearless at all! And the fact that now Gaia iz completely changing in this new series iz even worse! Its like Fearless FBI haz no Ed, OR gaia!
and Kinz, don't bother wid sweet valley high if u like fearless, its rubbish and not worth it after youve read amazing books like fearless!

Anyhoo, i just got Live Bait last Thursday and I was sooo excited to finally get it! Haven't really gotten a chance to read it yet but i will tomorrow!
But seriously, I am really NOT like this new persona Gaia is sportn'. Its so not Gaia, like you guys have already mentioned before. She is almost acting, dare I say, so unfearless like. I LOVED that confident, strong, kick butt attitude! But she is sooo insecure now, it makes me sick! And she was so funny before too! Now she is way to serious. GRRRRR. Unless this is just a build up to where she goes back to her conifdent self then so be it, but if its not.....
I would much prefer if she had her old attitude mixed with her new maturity for example how she now follows protocal (how ever its spelled). Then that would be alright (at least with me since i don't know for sure how you guys think about it)
Live Bait will be the determining book for me, for whether i shall continue with the series. I like the whole crime story, just like the crime shows i watch on tv. But the way Gaia is acting and that STUPID Will who is EXTREMELY ANNOYING, are just turning me off to this series. I really got better things to do with me time and better things to read if the books are gonna continue like this. I know I sound like a betrayer, but its just how I feel about this series. I just can't keep wasting my money on something that doesn't interest me anymore, which is especially true since i am very careful with my money LOL.
But I have a good feeling that this book probably won't dissapoint and i will get the next installment, Agent OUT when it comes out. I just know that I will be hooked on the series again before i finish this book. All I am saying is that this series better improve real soon.

Lol, no i totally agree. I hav to get over mi loyalty to the old series, i am just NOT pleased wdi this new one! I haven't got the book yet, i keep forgettin to order it, and the fact that im not desperately tryin to buy the book weeks b4 its published just SHOWS how little i like this series lol. I personnally don't like the look of this Book2, but im gonna giv it a chance! i know we KEEP on repeating how annoyed we are wid Gaia, she used to b so much funnier aswell!, but oh well, i get so into it that i HAVE to repeat miself lol. Soz to anyone who finds it annoying :P

I read the new book, and i personnally found it REALLY disappointing. Seriously, the book waz kind of a waste of time reading, Gaia's transformation into new, weak, crappy Gaia was complete and the plot iz the worst yet! The only good thing iz that i must admitt it picked up at the very end, so its left me really confused! All the way through the book i was convinced i wud stop readin the series and that i had wasted £5, but right at the end it was better to the extent that i had to think "will it b better nxt book then?" Their so devious! By just making the last 5ish pages decent, they make u buy the nxt book! Its so annoying!

I've had to place the book down for a while since i have been studying like crazy and have had to read all these other books. After reading your post I think I will just skim the rest of the book...that is if i ever find the time....:P

I am utterly completely in love with fearless, but I have only read upto number 16 (the next 5 are on order.) Living in England, i was until now unaware that there was a TV show. Rachel Leigh Cook! i cant even think of a worse actress to play Gaia. To start with, she doesn't comply with the toughness, beauty and attitude that Gaia represents. While reading the books, only one actresses face completes my vision of Gaia... Emilie de Ravin. To seemingly oblivious people that might not know who Emilie is, I well present her best known roles; claire in lost and tess in roswell. She would be absolutely perfect, she is the most astonishingly natural beauty (and blonde) that is around. Plus, she has a whole dainty appearance which could show Gaias hidden strenghs underneath. Anyone agree?

There isn't a Fearless tv show. There is a pilot to the series but it was cancelled before they made any more or something along the lines of that. Basically, there isnt a Fearless tv show. Kinda sucks but meh.
But i would kinda have to agree with you there punk-n-disorderly about Emilie as a good candidate for the Gaia role if there really had been a tv show. I think she could pull of the tough attitude that is Gaia. But she doesnt really have that Russian look of Gaia's. Seeing as she is half Russian, i would have to assume that she picked up on some of the traits at least. But I guess that's just how i have pictured her. Anyhoo, Emilie is still a good choice. Just have to give her more muscle definition.

Theres also the blonde, tough girl in "Anita and Me" (which otherwise iz a pathetic movie) who iz actually one of the girls who models for the covers! I now as a fact shes at least the model on Book 12 (the models change a lot) so wudn't she b gr8 seeing as we all picture Gaia like the models on the covers anyway! PLus she's only 18 at the mo, so it wud b perfect! Anyway thats wat i think lol

I LUV the model on bk 18, she's gorgeous and haz a really haunted expression which iz spot on lol. the one on Book 16 iz ok, and the one on the last book 36 iz gr8 (though she might b the same one frm book 18!) :P

So far I've only read up to book 14, but it's been a really good read. Seeing as I don't usually by books that have a 25+ series, I have to borrow from local libraries, which is a pain. XDD Could someone give me an overview of what actually happens during the next 11? I really cannot go to the library at least 5 times a day just to switch books. It hurts. lol. Thanks if anyone can reply ^^

BTW, Emile de Ravin is 24 and you can see if pic of her on http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0211087/ or if you google her name. I really like her name....but anyway, even though she is 24 she could still play a 17 year old with no prob (if there was tv show based on the original series and not that of Fearless: FBI) since, i would have to say, most actors that play teens are in there 20s. For example that actress that plays Veronica Mars, she is 25 and she is supposes to play a 16-17 yr old.

Do you really really really want to know what will happen to Gaia and Ed and the other stuff you asked for? I am just warning you first because you may not like what will happen.
