Walter Farley has entertained young readers for many years. While a slight few who have read the books have professed that they feel they are "boring", these views obviously come from someone not so entertained by the exciting thought of pounding hooves and a flying mane and tail, but the generation of children and teens who spend more time in front of their TVs and video games than a book.

Walter Farley is my favorite author. I love horses. His books just make me want to read them and never put them down. I started reading Misty of Chicoteage but it didn't hold my attention. So about 50 pages into it I decides to stop and go back to the Black Stallion Books. I am on my 7th book. Itis called The Black Stallion Challenged. Well that is all for now!
