Tom Sharpe

Tom Sharpe is the funniest author I have ever read.
His humour is very similar to my own,and I wish I could meet him to enjoy an evening of laughter.
I am certain that his books are bred out of real life situations, and the mayhem he creates in his books is quite unbelievable.
I have read four of his books but cant wait to read all the others.

Read the posts here and went out and bought his first book "Riotous Assembly". Read it and agree with the above and want to add that his humor is very sarcastic and dark which I like and some parts of the plot make no sense at all but somehow he makes it all come out and you enjoy as you read. Will read everything he has written ASAP.

I agree with the above posts: Tom Sharpe is a wickedly funny writer! My favurites would be 'Blot on the Landscape' and 'The Throwback' are both laugh out loud books.. the Wilt series is less farcical than the above mentioned works but very enjoyable... .'Porterhouse Blue' is somewhat darker than most of his other work but still very worthwhile... I must read 'Wilt in Nowhere' as soon as I find a copy of it....has anyone else read it yet? What's it like?
