I have read a couple of books by Thomas Merton and find him to be very interesting. The Collected Poems of Thomas Merton is very good. He was instrumental in my converting to Catholicism 22 years ago.

Yes I find his work very fascinating too.
Have you read the "testament Of Devotion" By Thomas R Kelly ?
a "Catholic" of a differant kind and kindness.
