It's powerful book. I will never think about hell the same way again.

This book just took my breath away. I kept wondering: how can one man (Dr. Troup) be so utterly evil and get away with it? I know this is fiction, but the hate I felt for this horrible man was very, very real. I want to say I enjoyed this book--but can't because of this one horrid little character who made me shudder, just thinking about the evil that might be in all of us.

A fine work of fiction, a real page-turner. Read it at the beach and got sun-burned!

Did you all really like the book this much!? I am a first-time novelist and I am really, really suprised that people say so many nice things.
