Patrick Redmond

I adored this book. The story and characters Patrick Redmond created and how the story went was nothing short of amazing. I was a bit overwhelmed after reading 'Something Dangerous' in fact I was moved to tears and felt pyshically ill for a few days.
The ending took me by surprise and there is a part of me that wishes it had ended differently but another half still wishes to understand what really happened. Jonathan and Richard were my favorite characters. Jonathan, the boy who craves love and attention from his father and who had that boyish charm about him that would make anyone fall in love. Richard the disturbed, angry boy who grew up hating his father and refused to let anyone get closed to him after his mother died, that is until Jonathan came along.
If there are any other novels by Patrick Redmond now or ones that will be published in the future I will most definately buy and read them if they are anything like 'Something Dnagerous.'

Pat is just about the most self absorbed csucker on the face of the earth. He is also mean and hateful. He once told me that we could take a walk on the beach and step on piss clams but then he beat me about the head and face with his fishing rod. Then he tied me to the pier at high tide and rubbed my ass neck with sand. It was horrrrible!

I recently finished reading the novel 'The Wishing Game'. Being 16 years old, the novel captivated me in a way that no other book had managed to. What really struck a nerve was the way in which he described the character's emotions, as though he were experiencing them as he was writing the book. I am a twin, and in some parts I actually cried for the twin characters in the book, feeling their sorrow and pain. A book has never made me feel this way before, in fact I never cry. I hope that the author realizes the tremendous impact of his words, and his amazing talent. Keep up the great work!!
