O.Henry

His stories begin too heavy and it's a little difficult to concentrate. But in the middle it becomes so interesting that make u read it from the begininig. I like his stories - most "The handbook of Hymen"

What should I say about O.Henry...apart from being My fav Short story writer, O.Henry is also an acclaimed and critically magnificient creator of short stories and a well known writer.Other than the fabulous surprise endings, what realy used to intrest me, when in my school books, I read his stories...was the knack with which he used to portray the character.....how the changes in the plot , in the characters come...the reformations....as in "The retrieved reformation",of Jimmy Valentine....my personal favorite. The way he writes...through experience...insight and imagination..is remarkable..so many stories...so many different ideas..situations..places......the depth with which he himself lives in the story he writes and makes the reader live in it too...as a silent spectator..or one of the characters themslves. What is most remarkable is ..the reality of the characters...and the situations...the practicality..the credibility...and yet it serves ones imagination well. The kind of stories we all would like to believe in ..live in and to have around us...in our lives.
