I'm trying to find the name of the bus

The name of the bus was "further". It turned to a rusting heap out in Eugene. Art never lasts.

I thought it was interesting that in the book the main character as it were was 'The Chief' but in the film the main focus was 'R P McMurphey'. I think that it would of been easier for the viewer to understand Kesey's general motivation for writing the book if there had been more emphasis on the chiefs thoughts and feelings. I believe that Kesey actually went to work in a Mental Insitution to do research for the book. Either that or he just fancied it, I wonder how many people would do that nowadays.

I hope you will all give "Sometimes A Great Notion," his second novel, a try. It is an amazing book.

I agree....Sometimes a Great Notion is overshadowed by Cuckoo's Nest, but it's also a great read. More conventional in a way, but a good, solid read. The kind of book that makes you wistful when it's done because you'll miss the characters so much.

Apparently, when asked what he thought of the film version of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", his reply was, "How would you feel if your 13yr old daughter was raped!!"
