I recently came across Ring of Bright Water and it's a wonderful read. After the dedication page there is a copy of a poem titled The Ring. I was wondering if anyone happens to know who the author of the poem is? Is the author Gavin Maxwell? Anyhow, I can be emailed at: rodney@terminalcity.ca thanks

The poem Ring of Bright Water is by the British poet Kathleen Raine (1908-2003). Maxwell did acknowlege its authorship in his book, but not on the same page as the poem, so sometimes readers think he wrote it himself.
