Fiona Walker

Forum

Hi all. I just finished reading Fiona Walker's Between Males. I thought it was so great. It was written so well that I felt like I was watching a soap opera that had a good ending and not an endless one of unhappiness for the characters. I'm so glad that Odette came to her senses and found the love that she deserved. I look forward to reading her other novels...although I hope she writes another one with lots of Jimmy and Odette...and maybe their kids.

I have read all her books to date and i think she is marvellous. Although French Relations and Well Groomed are my favourite. I have been waiting patiently since i finished Lucy Talk last year for her next one. I do hope it is soon.

I too have just finished reading Snap Happy, and it has to be one of my favourite books of all time. Can anybody help me out? I have read the book "Kiss Chase" but can't quite remember the storyline. If anyone has read it please could you email me a brief idea of the story, to brylovesed@hotmail.com.
Thanks a lot in advance

How bloody fantastic was French Relations? I have read it twice, and it still makes me laugh almost into a teary state! I must say, I adore Marcus, his scene of accusing his mother of being a pickled herring was perhaps the funniest material I have read, ever! His father Michael is also a bloody riot (where's my bloody tape meaure, I need a bloody drink, old girl). Also born and raised in Australia, it was interesting the way the Australian biker was portrayed...but I will leave it at that!

I must have read all her books at least three times now and they still make me laugh. I want to loan them to my sister but am afraid I'll never get them back! I just finished Kiss Chase ( which was impossible to find in Canada) and am now in love with all the Sylvian boys. Can't wait for the next one.

I absolutely adored Fiona Walkers' Snap Happy! It was so full of sharp wit and humor and it kept me reading right through until the end! I have also read French Relations and Well groomed (which I just finished yesterday!!!) and even though I got a little frustrated in the middle ( I couldn't wait to see what happened in the end!), I loved reading it throughout. Can't wait for the my next Fiona Walker book!

That Hugo..... *sigh* What an absolute hunk..... 0_~

P.s- Her next book "Lots of Love" , alothough not yet published, is out sometime in May 2003.

Here's the Synopsis:
When Ellen breaks up with her boyfriend she agrees to house-sit for her parents in the Cotswolds before going travelling. Under the wing of local sculptor Ophelia Gently, Ellen goes to a village fundraiser and wins a mysterious lot of three wishes donated by the gorgeous Jasper Belling.

I adore Fiona Walker's books, especially French Relations and Well Groomed. I really hope that we will get another look into Tash's life with Hugo! I have to say that my other favourite was Kiss Chase.

I was so excited to hear that there is another book coming out this year! I have been hanging out since Between Males!

Keep them coming!!!

gosh! I'm totally insecure of all of you! I read french relations about 5 months ago, it was my classmate's book and i made her give it to me. I pride myself on being persuasive. Hah! She gave me the book without sweating on my part! I'm from the philippines and there's no one here who knows fiona walkers besides my classmates and me. (Shame on my fellow filipinos) I just don't know hot to get my hands on Well Groomed, though i'm pestering all my kins abroad to look for that book. My classmate got her copy of french relations in hong kong. Oh well... now that i know that tash will end up with my hugo, i can be content at the moment. I really don't like Niall. And Hugo is like the love of my 15 year life. *sighs
