I have just finished Stone Kiss after having read all the previous Rena-Peter novels in the last serveral months, I have found this to be little too unblieveable as far as the ending was concerned. Come on now , how could Peter possible explain away Eight Dead bodies and two bullets to himself without implicating C.D. No one could possibly believe the Chiam could have done any of it by himself , he was an obvious wimp.
I am so disappointed in Rena's behavior with Chis Donatti. How could she possibly betray Peter in the presence of his No. 1 enemy . I think she may have a hidden sex thing for him. I think she is on the way to distroying their marriage. However Peter should get help dealing with his oppession with finding the bad guys and ignoring his family so much of the time.
Too much of this book didn't jive with the
previous books. I think Faye wanted to get this one out of the way , without thinking it through, I am anxious to see what happens with the next. I do know that Peter will find out she lied to him and see the Sketch that C.D. made of Rena.
I discovered Faye a few months ago . After reading The Forgotten I had to go back to the beginning and read everyone one of the Novels. As you see she has a way of bringing one right into the lives of the characters. I found it interesting to learn about some Jewish customs.

I loved Stone Kiss and look forward to more interaction between Decker and Donatti. Rina is now linked to Donatti forever, now that he has got rid of her son's molestor. This complex relationship should be taken further.
