I loved his book Generation Kill; it is definatley the best book covering the iraq war. The fact that he became so accepted by the Division he was with makes him able to give us an honest insight into the relationships of the military during warfare. Its very funny at times, but also terrifying; we see that the marines were sent there without proper training or equipment, no one told them anything. Yet they still managed to get some!!
Great war reporting.

I usually don't read any war stuff....I find it billigerant and cock holding.....but I understand thats the the attitude needed for that environment. But your "insight" the fact that a journalist was taken into the bosom makes me want to maybe have a read. Great Digestion of a book Ctina.
