Actually I didn't really like the last two books, but the ending was good enough to make up for it.

Probably King's crowning achievement.

well, the ending was a shocker indeed. its like taking you up to the cliff giving you the best joint in the world and then pushing you off it. excellent ending after one gets over the frustration.
