I love her book Kitchen....wheni fisrt read it I felt totally sad and happy at the same time...Usually I never read a book and remeber the author or its title but this one really sticked to me...Herbook is amazing and full of twists and humour...i reccomend this to either male of female...

Yes, I love this book as well. and yes i read it for a research paper as well, since its relatively modern, yes its hard to find info on it. but i love this book because theres so much imagery. some of the twists are quite repulsive, but this book has become one of my favs.

I have re-read Asleep about 20 times. Each time I find something new in it. I have just ordered Amrita from my local bookshop, and then I did a websearch and found a site that said it was her only dud. Hopefully the reviewer was wrong. I could lie forever and read her prose, so soulfully mournful and yet occasionally hopeful at the same time. I wish she would come to Australia for a book signing at some stage, I know she has a lot of fans here.

I like the way Yoshimot express the feelings of her characters by refering to the objects that sorround our lives. Kitchen is a nice book of loving, sharing and feeling the live in every vibration.

I don't think that Amrita is a dud at all. It is significantly longer than everything else, so that gives a different form. There's no attempt to be really economical, so it has a different feel. It is much more dream like.

I am reading N.P. write now. it is good. I do find it better than Kitchen. She has her on journal online in where she writes about her private life. It also has loads of pictures. Not bad. She's not a fantastic writer but she is good.
