I really liked his last book Dorian
>>By Stephen Deaves
I have just discovered Will Self and am trying to get hold of everything I can of his.

Dorian is a great book. I saw him a reading when it first came out and I got the chance to talk to him afterwards. He told me that he had started writing it as a screenplay, but it had mutated into becoming a novel. I have read most of the things he has written and though I do like his novels, they often seem to lose the plot a bit. His best work is his short stories, in particular The Quantity Theory Of Insanity. I think that is an excellent starting point for anyone wanting to get into Will Self. His novels Great Apes and How The Dead Live are definitely worth reading too. Sees ya... :O)

So is this guy your run-of-the-mill inspiration guides that plague our society or is he something else? The titles of the books listed on the left here suggest that he probably markets to people who are depressed, lost, angry, or a stay-home wife. I've always wondered if I, someone who doesn't fit any of those descriptions, would then become depressed, lost, or angry after having read stuff like this. There ought to be a book about that.

All those books listed on the left have nothing to do with Will Self!!! I have no idea why they are there. Will Self writes novels and short stories, not pathetic self-help books!
