Does anyone know what the theme is in PILGRIM and give me some points to support it?

Timothy Findley is an excellent writer. For any information on themes to base an essay on for pilgrim just research the symbolism behind butterflies. There is tons of imagery on butterflies in this novel, I've just writen an essay on it. There aren't many websites or essays on Pilgrim but a little research goes a long way. Keep in mind that Pilgrim's dancing butterflies are symbolic of Jung's "collective unconcious", and that the imaginary butterfly on Jung's thumb foreshadowed an epiphany.
