Discussion: Thomas Mallon

Have been seeing his name for years, but have read one of his novels for first time in recent days. Title: Watergate. A fictionalized account that includes all the major and many of the minor characters in this pathetic tale. Some reviewers have suggested that this is a case of fiction making the story more real than non-fiction. They may be on to something. Intersting take on Richard Nixon, Pat Nixon, Alice Roosevelt Longworth and numerous others. I'm now motivated to read additional titles by Mallon; I'll think I'll search out "Dewey Defeats Truman" (I think I remember that title correctly, which correctly states an incorrect outcome of the 1948 presidential election. Eager to see Mallon's take on Truman, Dewey and other players!
