The story is about...let's see...I'd say disenfranchised, intelligent male youth, who, lacking validation from their observed bourgeois lifestyles, search for truth in instinctual behavior, only to fail in that as well. >>By Deest What's the significance of the 3-day-old corpse in the lake? It seems to be the pivotal event in the story. The narrator gets shocked back into reality.
