Discussion: Scott Nearing

While Scott Nearing appears to be a very astute man of wisdom, one must not overlook he and his wife's involvement into the Dark realm of the Occult. Basically, Helen was a part of the Theosophy Society and all its doings into the Occult Underworld. Helen admits that she experimented with all sorts of divination type of witchcraft, in her book, Living and Leaving the Good Life. This by the way, is a sort of suicide book, how to. Totally against Christian Philosophy! I read the Nearings works many a year ago in the Mother Earth News Magazine. Little did I know that what they were preaching was of the New Age Movement. The vegetarianism coincided with the Eastern Disciplines that instilled their beliefs. Helen, in her younger day, even dated an elite Occultist, which she describes in her book. I can't recollect his name right now, but in the Far East, this individual was considered the next Messiah. Helen admitted to the Occultic Practices of Automatic Writing, Water Witching, Oijua Boards etc. I have come to the conclusion that the Nearings profound wisdom, was given to them from the supernatural realm. It is funny, as to see the pictures of the Nearings sitting with Hippies in the early sixties. While that generation has roots well into the New Age Movement, with the long hair and all, Scott Nearing sat there as pictured as an old man. Yet, Scott knew more about the New Age Movement than we as spectators could have imagined. I wonder if he and Helen espoused the New Age Principles upon the young hippies that attended their farm expositions. Probably so. What is scary is the Nearings didn't have the Long Hair etc, like the Beatles or Maharishi, yet they all gained their insight from the same source, the Devil. Bet you never thought of these (brilliant people) this way. All the aftermentioned can be proven and is well documented in Helen's inadvertant tell all,, Living and Leaving the Good Life, which I know Scott would have disapproved of her making it. She couldn't help herself, and incriminated the both of them at the same time. Yes, basically Helen was into witchcraft, and Scott loved discussions on the afterlife, and reincarnation. Yours in Truth, I am disappointe as many, as I held Scott as one of the greatest and wisest men on the planet.
