Discussion: Scott M. Peck

I have read "The Road Less Travelled" many times since the late 1980's. Each time I come close to understanding it. I see a "shrink" reguarly but we don't seem to talk about the issues in that book directly. I love the book BUT I see some things in it that he can't possibly understand. I'm not going to point out some of his possible bias' but I did stop reading the book when I reached them (re: the "homesexual man going on his first date with a women"). What happens to the people who are so damaged (but not those who see being homosexual is not the problem?) I know they can't find answers from Dr Scott. It's good enough to put out something for people who do "feel value in the very virbre of their being" but what about everybody else?

Having said that, I believe in the ultimate values of the book and they have given me something concrete to work upon (ie beyond thinking about them!).
