Rule Of The Bone
Forum
I read this book with my 12th gr. Literature class and the students ate it up. The end is especially powerful in terms of transformation and spiritual renewal... I teach in an URBAN system with very high risk overage students.
At the risk of sounding sappy, : It was one of the most meaningful teaching experiences of my 18 year career.

There is to much profanity in Rule of Bone. But, it can be related very well to The Catcher in The Rye. Both Holden and Chappie hate changes. They have fallen from innocense and want it back. Both want to go home, back to their family that they really do love, but are caught in their ways.

Rule of the Bone was a very inspiring book. I would defenetly recommend it to anyone who wants to live their lives for themselves rather than for others.

The fact that this book was written by a man in his forties is truly remarkable. This novel relates almost too much to the normal teenagers out there that it is scary. stellar read

I just finished reading Rule Of The Bone in my 11th grade english class. It is deffinatly, for depth and meaning, one of the best books I have ever read. I would recamend this book to any one who feels they are getting cheated in life. Beleave me Bone has got it worse.
