Discussion: Robert A. Heinlien

what year waas the door into summer first published?

>>By chris

A friend of mine asked about Heinlien's 'Trilogy" but I know nothing about any supposed 3 set of books linked in any way. My friend seems to think STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND is a part of this 'trilogy'. Can anyone help me discover if my buddy is off base or if I'm just uninformed?

There's no real "trilogy" that I know of, and I've read most of his books. Although he may be referring to Heinlien's "Future History", which links around a dozen or more of his books and characters, although they mostly come from different timelines and universes, this is a barrier that Heinlien overcomes. But again, I know of no alleged trilogy.

WASN'T "TIME ENOUGH FOR LOVE", "THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST", "CAT WHO WALKS THROUGH WALLS", AND "TO SAIL BEYOND THE SUNSET" ALL PART OF A TETROLOGY? THOSE SEEMED TO BE THE BOOKS THAT LINKED ALL OF HIS "FUTURE HISTORY" TOGETHER.
