Does anyone know where I can find a detailed analysis of Richard Bach's book "There's No Such Place As Far Away"? I need something that shows symbolism and analyzes the characters and there role in the book. If so, please email me the website. My email address is KiKi762@yahoo.com. Or post another message, but I'd prefer I you email it to me because I may not be able to find the site again. Thank You!

He has more insight into human nature than any other author I've ever encountered. He writes with honesty, but not hostility.

I think he is daydreaming....trying to carry the reader away from reality . He is talented though.

Illusions does life get any simpler...I think we can all be this person if we believe that we are truly more then we appear!....I read it when I was 17 and a friend of mine developed a mental disorder. It helped me to see beyond the ignorance of people and society in general. I have read it many times since to help me over the rough spots.

The best work yet so far,as by popular opinion ,by R.Bach , is "Jonathan Livingston seagull"..Now as I see it..this book with several other later written works of his is semi-autobiographical in nature,in whic he tells abt his learning experiences thru the depiction of the character of a seagull....a flying bird....considering his aviation background as well. This book, in my opinion is a consise fiction cum self -help book which should be read not just once but more than twice at certain different intevals of time, say a week or a some days...bcoz of the fact that when u read it for the first time..it seems plain interesting and fascinating. Now the second time when you read it...you start seeing the underlying wisdom...beneath those simple lines and diaogues...and then the third time u see it more clearly and begin to understand it more and more...........keeping in mind the time that u've passed in between those intervals of time when u once ead the book nd the experiences u had.Its overall a simple book...and very well written...read it more than once to get to know it better!

What I write abt him simply is that at no point in any of his books, does he impose any of his ideologies or thinking on the reader...he does not teach. He makes you experience..My personal fav's are JLS & Illusions.Technically perfect...in ters of the metaphysical details and being technically sound in terms of writing.

I would say that JLS is mostly about transcending the mundane life
