Norman Lewis, now deceased, is what one might call a travel writer's travel writer. He traveled the world and was objective and also personal about what he saw and heard. Young, untried travel writers would do well to read his work before starting to write about where they've been.
When you are searching for Lewis do not get him confused with the other Norman Lewis who is a linguist.
