I`ve got a question to ask all of you. Could Cartarescu`s prose be considered fractal prose?

his books, his poetry, the guy's amazing!

>>By biancutza   (Sunday, 26 Jan 2003 02:20)

the guy is good, no doubt about it, and he is getting even better. his "enciclopedia zmeilor"(ya, i'm romanian, who isn't around here) starts resembling the american postmodernism. it's a more cooverlike writting, though his dreamy obsessions are far from over.
p.s. orbitor3? it seems he has a perverse sense of suspense(must be this sequals frenzy)

i would like to answer to LM.. in my oppinion it's more about the ideal objects than fractals. u can read more about this concept, wich is, i admit it, related with the later, in some of i.p. coulianou's books.

it's all about the impression you get from reading the text. it's like a holographic image that the descriptions create when you read atentifly the text. the mood in which the book has been written (obssesion) passes on to the reader. the revelations contained in the two volumes are amazing.

I think Mircea Cartarescu is a very original creator, he has the power of reflecting our postmodern world in it's specific dissolution, whether we're speaking about the concrete reality or about the onirical one. But what impresses me most is that, as I read in some interviews with him, I find him a really nice person. Still, i don't believe that he has ever seen or visited this forum. Still, I can't prove it. You see, our postmodern world has it's limits. We can make it acceptable only by arts and literature. I would have liked to have the writer's e-mail...
