You will gain a much more concrete sense of her as a writer. I struggled through some early works, which I am now rereading with pleasure. "Evidence of Things Unseen" contains some of the most beautiful prose I've ever read. Right up there with "A Parchment of Leaves". Don't miss the part where Opal is describing what a mother is.
