Discussion: Margaret Mitchel i;m doing a reseacrch paper on her, and i want to find out interseting stuff about her >>By ashlee vasquez Were the characters in Gone With the Wind based on the life of Margaret Mitchel? >>By Verna hello ashlee A year or so ago (i live in australia) i heard on the news that Margaret was made to take the real ending off her story because it would have added 15 minutes to the impending movie that was going to be made and that she wrote letters to someone with the ending of the story in it where Scarlett did eventually end up with Rhett. She apparently went back to the plantation, married someone else (would you have expected less of her?!!) when she heard that Rhett had gone missing, presumed dead in some sort of cargo transporting thingy. He comes back and i don't know what else happens and they end up together, maybe even other children... I'm not sure exactly, my memory is a little hazy. I've been waiting ever since to hear of this other book being published but haven't heard anything... Have you heard anything about it? >>By bimba
