Discussion: Marai Hello, here Viktor from Hungary. I agree that Márai was one of the best poets of Hungary (mostly because of his poem HALOTTI BESZÉD which could be translated as Obituary Speech or something like that. I don´t know whether it is known in foreign coutries or not but if not, somebody should translate it as soon as possible! Do you want to read a Hungarian novelist, too? Try to find something from Albert Wass. He usually writes about the terror of World War II in Transsylvania and it is terrific! But if you want to read Wass you have to know the history of Hungary from World War II !!!!
