Discussion: Lionel Shriver

I am kind of trepidatious to put the first comment out there......
I was really jazzed about this book.....
which is strange it took me longer than usual to read.....
while I was reading it I felt like a person in an immigration camp being "supercleansed" meaning deluged with water....
and when it finally got emotional....I finally got emotional
it had me really confused.....
familiar territory.....
and then I read the author comments
maybe I feel a bit like oprah when she read a million little pieces (EVEN THOUGH THE TRUTH OF THAT DIDN"T STOP ME LIKING IT)

For once at a loss of words....
other peoples comments would be great!
I would really like this to be a "dscussion!:

i read the whole book in one single day, and i was totally overwhelmed by the way she described these things... it could have happened just this way, couldnīt it?

and i do understand kevins point of view... nobody had asked him whether he wanted to be in this world and so he decided he didnīt want to. his parents werenīt a great help to him anyway... but i donīt think it was their fault after all.
