Discussion: Lemony Snicket

Pages: 1 2
Lemony Snicket actually tried writing adult novels first...however when he sent them to the publisher, he was told that they weren't good enough, but that he should try his hand at children's stories. Thus the birth of a "Series of Unfortunate Events" In my Children's Lit class we had to read "The Bad Beginning", and we were given all this background info on Lemony Snicket

How do you figure out the secret message in #10? I have the book and have finished it, but I can't figure out how to read the message. can someone please tell me? I want to try t find it myself.

I liked the first few books, but I've really outgrown them...I'm tired of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny and how horribly perfect they are..."Lemony Snicket" 's dragging them out waay too far, a trilogy would have sufficed.

I don't think I'll ever outgrow them hehe. I just love them.
