Discussion: Karen Harper

Karen Harper prolific American writer of romantic fiction is remembered on this side of the pond for her novel 'Wings of the Morning' set in the 1850’s on St Kilda a remote Island in the Outer Hebrides, shifting to Victorian London and then Sanibel Island off the coast of Florida.
Interest surrounding the Scottish region of St Kilda and the ways of its community, the heroin Abigail McQueen who overcomes life’s tragedies, and its romantic essence so well portrayed in Karen Harper’s unique style was personally a delightful read. In 1985 the authoress won a Romantic Times award for best historical novel. Among several other of her books I’ve enjoyed reading are 'Almost Forever' a captivating tale set in Italy… just beautiful! and 'The Firelands'
