I've just read Joseph Campbell's 'new' book about Asian religions, Myths of Light, and found it really informative and really entertaining. Campbell is, like always both astonishing in his breadth of knowledge and wonderful in his attention to detail as a master storyteller. Here the stories give insight into five thousand years of Asian religion, starting in the Indus Valley and stretching up to today. This is a wonderful book.
