I wish I knew... There seems to be nothing out there except the book for sale on a bunch of different websites! :(

That book was made into a TV soap in the 70s (by the brazilian Globo TV network).
I met Jorge Amado in the early 80s, when I was very young. I have a signed copy of one of his novels (Mar Morto).
