Discussion: Jonathon Kellerman

The man writes from an informed veiwpoint- having a doctorate in psychology- he realy delves into the human relationships of hius characters! Can be somewhat difficult at times to follow- sometimes he writes a characters thought processes- so you can imagine how tough it can be to keep up when ur reading someones "stream of conciousness/thought!"
Also brilliant because after reading any of his thriller/murder books, i feel like he's imparted some small amount of knowlege about the human character (in the findings of his psychologist/murder detective "Alex Delaware") which i can understand.
Very gripping and enlightening about the human mind!

I want Dr. Kellerman to get a new editor. He makes errors when he gets away from psychology and into psychiatry and someone needs to catch these errors. He wrote about S&R in one novel and described it as being "suppression and restraint" instead of seclusion and restraint. In another novel he used the word "unicop" over and over and over...No one I know from LA knows what a unicop is. I discovered in a novel by someone else that it refers to a uniformed cop. He also uses the phrase, "...went missing," or "gone missing," which people in L.A. rarely if ever use. I think I'm done with his novels. The errors distract me from the content.
