i havent read anything by this guy but he was recommended to me by a friend. can anyone give me some hints or work by him?

Kosinski is pretty great...
"being there" is an easy start
whatchoocallit..."steps" I quite liked too, though its a bit all over the show, and bit self conciously "shocking"...
his writing is nicely "oblique" I guess is the word I feel like using
