Discussion: Jennifer Lauk

I was an exchangestudent in Southern California in the 1965 and it was so exciting to find the language-use of that time in those parts of the world in your book Still Waters. It took me right back. I lived with a very loving family in Whittier and went to Monte Vista Highschool. The love of that family has changed my life - given me back my inner self - a strong handlebar to kling to when life has been tough! Pure undconditional love is really a strong transformer. Thanks for your wonderful books.

Reading Blackbird I was astounded that there was anyone out there that understood me! I could have written that book, right down to counting my steps. In fact, I am passing the book around my family so they can maybe understand my way of thinking. At 52 it's a bit hard to rearrange thought patterns that have been with you forever.
