Thanks >>By Todmorden our lady of the flowers is soooo cool. genet is a fascinating man >>By scarletnikki I'm torn between Funeral Rites and Querelle as my favourites: Funeral Rites for the passion and pervesity of it (an elegy to his lover, killed by the Nazis, whereby the main characters are a collaborator and a Nazi soldier - and both are rendered beautifully and sympathetically) and Querelle, often posited as the perfect novel.
