Discussion: Jared Diamond I just finished reading Jared diamond's The Third Chimpanzee and am interested in knowing people's thoughts. I found his theories to have much support and learned alot about human nature through reading his book. >>By Naturalist Haven't read The Third Chimpanzee yet. I just finished Guns, Germs, and Steel and have started Collapse. (That sounds funny to say out loud.) Very interesting stuff, I wish I had read GG&S a few years ago when it was first published. >>By RamoneSmith Diamond is a great writer and scientist. Love his books thus far. I borrow my copy of Guns...to everyone who shows any interest. Finally, a concise study of culture and civilisation, the inequities, developments, hinderances etc...without invoking racial undertones. It really gets my mind buzzing to consider what the world would look like had the Aztecs conquered europe. What a fascinating thought! >>By Hume Ungus
