Gregory Maguire

Has Mr. Mcguire ever thought about writing a satire on Rebecca, using the point of view, say, of Rebecca? I think it would be great if her wrote her side of the story.

Also, does Mr. Mcguire ever worry about being sued for copywrite laws?

Given Maguire's apparently leftist bent, why is it that he portrays an occultist like Madame Blavatsky as a mastermind of some evil plot like the subjugation of Oz? After all, doesn't he mention her in "Wicked" as the one who commissioned the Wizard to enter Oz in search for the Grimmerie?

I was inrigued with the theories of "real life" in Oz. The political issues, the social-economic factors, the romance and something about the different sections of Oz. I found it entertaining and believable....

With the explosion of Wicked into a musical and the book being on the best seller list...I think Maguire needs to spawn it into a seriese....perhaps the different life stories of his new characters: Boq, Fiyero and even the other characters. Maybe a book in perspective of the Wizard and why he is putting the segragation on the Animals as apposed to the animals.
