HE IS GREAT

Doubtless Gerlad is great! I wish the title "Golden bats and pink pigeons"
becomes translated in german. This book is about the early adventures
Gerald had on Mauritius Island - so many german speaking people spend their vacations there and have no idea about the splendid nature of that
paradise! Having read this book they would at least have an idea.
Iould translate it, but time is little.

I read and reread his books since I was 12, now I'm 30 and I want to say "thank you" to him and all his family. His books taught me to love the animals, the nature and to understand people. With love always.

I've come across Gerald Durell's books in my early childhood. I love them since and it'll never change. For me he is the best writer ever!
