| Discussion: George Elliot Has anyone read George Elliot's Middlemarch? If you have, a friend and I were discussing it in reference to George Elliot's perception of the characters. So our professor told us that Elliot saw herself as one of the characters, and it's up to us to figure out who. People disagree. We read one author saying that she's Causobaun!
