Discussion: Franzen I have just read The Corrections by Franzen. It is the best book I have read in ages -beautifully constructed, complex and with a sympathetic insight into his characters of all ages which rivals that of Tolstoy i think. It's not often that I come across a writer who tackles the complexities of modern life head on and yet manages to be funny at the same time.
