I LOVE HER BOOKS! THE IMAGERY SHE CAPTURES IS FOOD FOR MY SOUL!

>>By ME   (Saturday, 25 Jan 2003 12:58)

I love her books. She has inspired me to write. Although I am still young and so many careers have flown in and out of my mind. This one has stuck out through the years. I have become more of an individual with the encouragement of her characters in her books. Her books are almost like an addiction. I want to read all her books. To inspire me do what she does to be inspired. Run,Write,Paint,Act,Sing,Love,Dance.Take Photographs....
I hope she writes forever

I love her books, she writes like glitter painted on wings. i wish i could meet her, maybe just to spend time in L.A. to see her muse, to stare at her canvas. i want all her books, and hear all her stories. i want to see her books as movies on the big screen but then even the glow of the movies looks dull to the light her words emit from the pages of her books.

Her style of writing is so amazing. I love the way she discribes people, places and everything that happens. You almost feel like you know her characters, you can feel their pain, happiness and successes. She paints a colorful picture with her words. She is inspiring to any would be writer.

hey - im a humongo fan of Ms. Block from day one. but ive just recently read Girl Goddess #9 and for some reason i felt that there wasnt as much fire, or passion in it as some of her other stories (i.e. my favorite one being the rose and the beast). i dont know what it is, but i just wasnt feeling her power as clearly in that book as i did in the others.

>>By ~*KATY*~   (Monday, 7 Jul 2003 22:28)

I love FLB. Ever since I read the first sentence of Weetzie Bat, I've been totally devoted to her. Whenever things in my life are crappy, I can pick up one of her books, and just lose myself. The way she writes, and describes her characters, I feel like I'm right there watching the story unfold. I've read all of her books that I can find. It would be so amazing to be able to hear her read one of her books. I just wish I could meet her so I could tell her how much I admire and respect her. I highly recommend all of her books. They're completely amazing.

>>By *Faerie*   (Tuesday, 8 Jul 2003 04:25)

yeah...i agree with all of you here..but i find my life is so plain after i've read Weetzie Bat and everything..i feel like i'm not getting enough out of it all...you know what i mean? i wish i were ANY of her characters...just living there beautiful lives. ho hum...i'm jealous. ok well hope someone out there understands...i think you are all beautiful people..if you understand and love FLB like this..then you are all your own little faeries inside...

i just read both ecstasia and primavera. both are excellent! much darker than her other novels. has anyone read them yet? i want to ask a question but i don't want to give anything away.

>>By anime grrl   (Wednesday, 7 Apr 2004 13:05)

I finished ecstasia and primavera a couple of weeks ago A.G. I really liked them, but somehow parts of them didn't seem quite finished. They felt like dreams (which I really suppose is the point). I'm really glad that they've re-released them though, it wasn't any fun at all searching forever for them, only to come across a copy for $40...
